Capstone Reflection:

Pre-Law-Human Rights & Policy | Sociology, Social Justice & Culture Studies, Theatre Minor

If anything has been revealed these past four years, it is that the world is in desperate need of people who make space for others through understanding oppressive systems and powers and doing everything they can in order to change them into something made whole, new, and good.

I became a Sociology/Social Justice and Culture Studies Major because I love people and the incredible beauty the diversity of humanity contains. I wanted to learn systems of justice in order to actually make them just, cultures to understand their complexity, and social history to see how it all fits together.

I can’t wait for what comes next. I’ll most likely be partnering with intercultural grassroot community development programs focused on youth, women, and the family unit.

Thank you to all who have had a hand in getting me to this point, my family, my professors, and my classmates who challenge me to think deeper every single class period. I’m so proud of the waves we’ve made in our time here.

Isaiah 1:17

Learn to do good; seek justice, correct oppression
